‘Tis the Season for Photos

It’s that time of the year – food is cooking, cookies are baking, presents are wrapped and the camera is set. During the holidays families gather from all over the country to celebrate the season, usually taking a photo to commemorate the occasion.

For many, we don’t need a special occasion to take a photo or create artwork. We do it all year. You may have read in September’s blog about my love for photography. Whenever I can find the time, I love to indulge in my passion for the camera. I also spend a great deal of time illustrating, letting my imagination fly in all different directions. At the end of each year, I give clients a book of my favorite photos and illustrations from that year. It’s a fun way to thank them for their business and to share a side of myself that isn’t always seen in the workplace.

This year’s book features photos from New Orleans and Cincinnati, illustrations inspired by my Surrealist yearnings, and photography from a trip I took to Israel with my wife. It’s been a good year with lots to celebrate, including my first grandchild – my granddaughter, Frankie. As my family gathers for the holidays, I’ll certainly have a camera around my neck and SD card in my pocket. Enjoy a few of the excerpts below, and thank you to ALL of our clients for a wonderful 2016.
